This was such a FUN weekend! I got to spend it with my roommates from college, Jen, Leslie, and Sarah, who also happen to be some of my best friends! We did SO MUCH laughing, as you can tell from some of the pictures! I hope that burns a lot of calories because we also did a lot of eating! Even though it has been years since we have all been together, we picked up right where we left off, it was just like the old days! I can't wait until next year! I love you girls and I miss you already!

Consider the Ravens

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than then birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this single thing, why do you worry about the rest?" Luke 12 :22-26

My sweet husband knows how much I love to watch birds so he put a bird feeder outside our kitchen window. I was so amazed how quickly they found that bird seed! How did they know it was there? I read this passage today, and I thought back to the birds that I have been watching. These birds don't even know how to worry. God provides shelter when they need it and food when they are hungry. "And how much more valuable are you than the birds." There have been too many times in my life where I have been filled with worry, but why? My God is my provider. What will my worrying do? God has used these birds to minister to me, what a creative God we serve! Spring is such a beautiful time of year where we can observe God's creation and really see it how He made it. The passage goes on to speak of the lilies and the grass. My prayer is that I go through my, I will take time to take in these beautiful creations and be reminded of God's provision and sovereignty.

Our guys had a pastor's retreat this weekend, so the girls decided we needed a sleepover! It was so much fun! There were three of us girls, (Steph, Angela, and me) and our five kids. The kiddos were SO good and had so much fun playing together. After we got all of them down, the cards came out! Our friend Kerri came over and we played cards until 3:30 in the morning! Can't remember the last time that I did that, but what a blast! But of course, our kids woke up at 7:00 AM! Here are some cute pictures of the our precious children!
