The Belly...

So, I LOVE being pregnant, but I always figure out how to avoid being caught on camera with the belly! I realized last night, however, that I barely have any pictures of the belly with Baby Jett and it may not be there for too much longer! So, here you go, here is me with 19 days and counting! I went to the doctor today, and I am at 3 cm. They think he is about 7 lbs and she said she feels like it could be anytime!!! SO EXCITING! We can't wait to meet our little boy!

My New Sink!

I have to show off my husbands handywork! We got a new sink and faucet for the kitchen with some of our Christmas money! We have an extreme handyman in our church, Buzzy, and he was gracious enough to spend an evening at our house helping Adam install it! I LOVE IT! Way to go Adam and Buzzy! Thanks for making dishwashing fun, at least for a little while! :)

CHRISTMAS 2008

Christmas, as always, was so much fun this year! With Addie being older, it was fun to really see her reaction to everything. We went into her room with the video camera when she woke up, and before we said a word, she threw her arms in the air and shouted, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTMAS!" We are pretty sure that she meant "Happy Birthday Jesus," but the excitement just overtook her! It was priceless! Santa Claus does not come to our house, but we still have gifts on Christmas morning. We tell Addie that these gifts come from Mommy and Daddy, and that we give her gifts because we love her and because God loves us and gave us the greatest gift of all, his son Jesus. Its hard to know exactly how it will all work out when your kids are so young, so we will see every year how we can best focus the season around the birth of our Savior!

Let me tell you, if you ever have the opportunity to live next to some of your best friends, DO IT! It is SO MUCH FUN! This is Justin and Adam in the backyard on Christmas Eve putting their swingset together! They were out there until 1:00 in the morning!

Then, Adam just came back through the gate and we put Addie's kitchen together! It was so much fun! It had about 1 million stickers to put on, so we were cracking up laughing doing this until probably 2:15 am! But, isn't it so cute? She got the vacuum and the broom earlier in the evening from Gigi and Grandaddy, but they looked cute leaned up against the kitchen, and she was just as excited to see them Christmas morning as the first time that she opened them, precious!
We might hate ourselves later for getting the 128 piece food set!
We went to Mom and Dad's later, and they gave her loads of dress-up clothes and THE MOST ADORABLE vanity! She loves it! She is definitely going to be my prissy little girl!

I see a lot of this in Adam's future! She loves to dress up Daddy!
We hope that you all had a great Christmas and got to spend lots of time with the people that you love celebrating the greatest gift of all!

Christmas Decorating!

Decorating for Christmas is one of my most favorite things to do! And, I am finding that it is even more fun to explain to your kids why we celebrate this season! We had such a fun time, and Addie gets beyond excited! It is so sweet!
Mom made these stockings for us! Even baby Jett has a stocking, they are so cute!

Addie thought that the tinsel made a very pretty necklace!
Mom made this for us right after we got married. It is called a Jesse Tree. It is an advent calendar that uses stories of the Bible and the lineage of Jesus to lead up to the story of his birth. It is fun to read the stories at breakfast and let Addie put the pieces on the tree!
We hope that you enjoy this season of celebrating the birth of our Savior!
Merry Christmas!

THANKSGIVING!

We have so much to be thankful for. God you are so good. We are thankful for an amazing family whom we love so much. Thank you, especially to my incredible parents, for always being there for us and supporting us in whatever we do. We are thankful for our CityView Church family and such special friends, being able to do life with you is a huge blessing. Words cannot describe our thankfulness for our precious daughter and the upcoming meeting of our son. We are so blessed.

This year, we got up early and went downtown Fort Worth to join the crowd of 10,000 for the 27th annual Turkey Trot! It was so much fun (even though my sister said she was cursing me for having the idea when her alarm went off that morning!) Then, we all headed to Stephenville to my uncle's house, where we enjoyed a whole day of family, eating, a Cowboys victory, and reflecting on how much we have to be thankful for!

Not a boring day after all!

This morning, Angela and I were both looking at a day that was just full of laundry and "blahness," not what we had in our minds for a holiday week! :) So, we decided to take the girls to the Southlake Town Center! The weather was beautiful, and we had so much fun just hanging out!

Night out!

We got to get dressed up last weekend and go to a beautiful wedding, we don't get dressed up too often so I had to get some pictures! :)

Baby Shower!

My precious friends at church threw me a BEAUTIFUL baby shower a couple of weeks ago. Jett got some GREAT stuff, what a blessing! Thanks girls, I love you so much!

NKOTB, oh yes, I did!

Last night, I got to fulfill a teenage dream of mine! I saw NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK!!! Thank you to my AWESOME friend Kris who unfortunately could not use the tickets! Let me just say, they are just as good as they were way back then, even the dancing! Yes, a little older, but yet, so are we...you have never seen grown women scream like that in your life! Everyone was wearing their 80s attire...leggings, side ponytails, blue eye shadow, jean jackets with the big buttons, come on, you know you had one! It was AWESOME!!! Our seats were amazing, and they sang every song we could have asked for! This poor child inside of me is going to come out doing a News Kids dance! It was SO LOUD! I will let the pictures speak for themselves...
Yes, everywhere!
About to go in!!!

YEAH BABY!!!

Katie, Chels, and me

I love you Rach!

"Please don't go girl..."

The Right Stuff!!!

I mean, LOUD!

Look how close they were!!! AHHH!!!

JOEY!!!

Seriously?!?

YES!

The Circus!

Last week, Addie had her first experience with the circus! We are pretty sure that she had a good time, but when we left, we got to thinking, hmmm...clowns, loud noises, large, smelly, animals...did we traumatize or entertain her?!?

Walking in with Aunt Tara and Mimi

The fam!

On an elephant with Aunt Tara and Poppy!

The look of sheer terror after the pony ride!

WOW!

Not really sure what to think about that mom!
