The Belly...

So, I LOVE being pregnant, but I always figure out how to avoid being caught on camera with the belly! I realized last night, however, that I barely have any pictures of the belly with Baby Jett and it may not be there for too much longer! So, here you go, here is me with 19 days and counting! I went to the doctor today, and I am at 3 cm. They think he is about 7 lbs and she said she feels like it could be anytime!!! SO EXCITING! We can't wait to meet our little boy!

My New Sink!

I have to show off my husbands handywork! We got a new sink and faucet for the kitchen with some of our Christmas money! We have an extreme handyman in our church, Buzzy, and he was gracious enough to spend an evening at our house helping Adam install it! I LOVE IT! Way to go Adam and Buzzy! Thanks for making dishwashing fun, at least for a little while! :)

CHRISTMAS 2008

Christmas, as always, was so much fun this year! With Addie being older, it was fun to really see her reaction to everything. We went into her room with the video camera when she woke up, and before we said a word, she threw her arms in the air and shouted, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTMAS!" We are pretty sure that she meant "Happy Birthday Jesus," but the excitement just overtook her! It was priceless! Santa Claus does not come to our house, but we still have gifts on Christmas morning. We tell Addie that these gifts come from Mommy and Daddy, and that we give her gifts because we love her and because God loves us and gave us the greatest gift of all, his son Jesus. Its hard to know exactly how it will all work out when your kids are so young, so we will see every year how we can best focus the season around the birth of our Savior!

Let me tell you, if you ever have the opportunity to live next to some of your best friends, DO IT! It is SO MUCH FUN! This is Justin and Adam in the backyard on Christmas Eve putting their swingset together! They were out there until 1:00 in the morning!

Then, Adam just came back through the gate and we put Addie's kitchen together! It was so much fun! It had about 1 million stickers to put on, so we were cracking up laughing doing this until probably 2:15 am! But, isn't it so cute? She got the vacuum and the broom earlier in the evening from Gigi and Grandaddy, but they looked cute leaned up against the kitchen, and she was just as excited to see them Christmas morning as the first time that she opened them, precious!
We might hate ourselves later for getting the 128 piece food set!
We went to Mom and Dad's later, and they gave her loads of dress-up clothes and THE MOST ADORABLE vanity! She loves it! She is definitely going to be my prissy little girl!

I see a lot of this in Adam's future! She loves to dress up Daddy!
We hope that you all had a great Christmas and got to spend lots of time with the people that you love celebrating the greatest gift of all!

Christmas Decorating!

Decorating for Christmas is one of my most favorite things to do! And, I am finding that it is even more fun to explain to your kids why we celebrate this season! We had such a fun time, and Addie gets beyond excited! It is so sweet!
Mom made these stockings for us! Even baby Jett has a stocking, they are so cute!

Addie thought that the tinsel made a very pretty necklace!
Mom made this for us right after we got married. It is called a Jesse Tree. It is an advent calendar that uses stories of the Bible and the lineage of Jesus to lead up to the story of his birth. It is fun to read the stories at breakfast and let Addie put the pieces on the tree!
We hope that you enjoy this season of celebrating the birth of our Savior!
Merry Christmas!
