The Next American Idol

She found a drum mic that was just her size! I think she has seen her daddy do this a time or two!

Pool Day!

We had such a fun day today! The weather was beautiful so Jen, Blane, Laling, and Bella came over and we went to the pool! The water was quite cool, but the kids loved it!!! I can tell we are going to be so thankful for that pool this summer! Addie had so much fun with her friends! Thank you, Jen, for sending me these pictures, those are some cute kids!

Fun Times in the Pool!

LifeGift 5K

Yesterday my family took part in the LifeGift 5K. LifeGift is an organization that supports organ donors and participants. We walked to honor my cousin, Chad Daniell, that passed away in March of 2005. Through a tragic situation, Chad was able to help so many families by donating organs they needed to survive. There were 87 people on our team! It was a big event with music, lots of fun activities for the kids, and LOTS of food! We had a great time being with all of our family!

Addie had so much fun at the 5K! She loved being in her wagon and pushing it!

This is my sister, and my three cousins, Matthew, Cole, and Michael, and me!

Just some fun pictures...

Yummy corn on the cob!
Check out this hair after a FOUR HOUR NAP!!!

Just adorable...

Look at those two top teeth! So funny!

Dream Fulfilled!

So, this Mother's Day, my husband fulfilled a dream of mine, and that is to see Dolly Parton! I know, you are probably laughing, but since I was a child, I have LOVED her! I grew up on her music and adore her! So, when she was on American Idol recently, I was thrilled! Adam and I went through some hard stuff recently, and in the midst of it all, Adam wanted to do something to cheer me up. So, he surprised me with these tickets! We went and ate sushi beforehand (only the cooked stuff for me, raw stuff makes me nervous!) that was SO delicious! And, then we headed to the Nokia theater to see good ole Dolly! She is AMAZING!!! So funny and so talented! She played 11 different instruments through the course of the show! And, she played every song that I could have wanted her to sing! And, on top of that, I just love being with my husband, he is my best friend! I think that he enjoyed it, if he didn't, he sure did an excellent job of faking it for me! Along with the roses he brought me earlier in the day, he went out of his way to make me feel so special this Mother's Day! I love you Adam, and I am so blessed to get to spend my life with you! Thank you for a special and memorable Mother's Day!

I WUV OO

Being a mom is such a gift in itself, but there are just some special little moments that make your heart swell with overwhelming gratitude and joy. On Wednesday, when Addie woke up from her nap, she was being especially affectionate. She came and sat in my lap and said, "Hi mama, I wuv oo!" She told me she loved me! For all of you that know Addie, she is quite the talker and repeats most everything that we say. But I have been waiting for the moment to hear those words come from her mouth! What a precious gift! Thank you Jesus for the gift of children, and thank you for allowing us these special moments in time. Help me to not take one moment for granted for the time goes by so fast.
