Consider the Ravens

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than then birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this single thing, why do you worry about the rest?" Luke 12 :22-26

My sweet husband knows how much I love to watch birds so he put a bird feeder outside our kitchen window. I was so amazed how quickly they found that bird seed! How did they know it was there? I read this passage today, and I thought back to the birds that I have been watching. These birds don't even know how to worry. God provides shelter when they need it and food when they are hungry. "And how much more valuable are you than the birds." There have been too many times in my life where I have been filled with worry, but why? My God is my provider. What will my worrying do? God has used these birds to minister to me, what a creative God we serve! Spring is such a beautiful time of year where we can observe God's creation and really see it how He made it. The passage goes on to speak of the lilies and the grass. My prayer is that I go through my, I will take time to take in these beautiful creations and be reminded of God's provision and sovereignty.
